Required Licenses and Registrations When Setting up an LLC in , CT.

You can also obtain a federal tax ID as a sole proprietor and use it as a business tax ID in the place of a social security number. However, all businesses need at least 2-5 business registration so you will still need other registrations, such as licenses, an assumed business name DBA, and tax IDs as described above. Finally, even one person, sole owner/proprietors working from home or just online can form a LLC or incorporate, in which case, they will not need to file a DBA and they will be members of the LLC.

Yes, it costs money to get a seller's permit ( about $59). As a business that holds a seller's permit, you can sell in all 50 states.

The form for sales tax is called a seller's permit, which is the proper documentation for resale. If you file an LLC, you don't need to file a DBA. The cleaning business license cost is $59. Part time crafts for festivals requires at least a seller's permit.
